On 11th March 2005, the European Commission (EC) adopted the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. It laid the foundations for the relationship between institutions and researchers, with the aim of obtaining excellence in research and promoting the professional careers of researchers and their mobility within the European Union (EU).
This agreement has been gradually implemented by a large number of European academic and research organizations and, in particular, the University of Valladolid (UVa) has incorporated it as good practices since 2013.
Throughout 2017, UVa started its path to the official adherence of the Charter and Code of Conduct to obtain the “Human Resource Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)” certificate. This process is included within the Strategic and Quality Policy of our university, as evidenced by its recent approval on June 28, 2017 by the Quality Assurance Commission chaired by the Vice-rector of Strategic Planning and Quality, Ms. Natalia Martín Cruz; and within the framework of Science and Research Policy of UVa, directed by the Vice-rector for Research and Scientific Policy, Mr. José Ramón López López.
Here the main actions to take and the relevant information regarding HRS4R in UVa can be seen (download here).
